Aster A-7400 by Microtel Innovation is a Network Packet Broker designed for 400/100/40/25/10 Gb/s multi-rate environments. Installed in a 1U chassis with 32 ports configurable up to 400 Gb/s, it offers a switching capacity of 12.8 Tbps and enables the interconnection of tools operating at different speeds.
The platform supports filters based on Layer 2-5 parameters and user-defined fields (UDFs), allowing precise selection of the flows that are truly relevant to analysis and security activities.
Advanced processing and simplified management
Advanced Packet Manipulation (APM) features, including packet slicing, header stripping, and timestamping, make it possible to optimize traffic before it is sent to connected systems, reducing processing load and improving their efficiency.
Aster A-7400 also supports Any-to-Any, Many-to-One, and One-to-Many aggregation modes, together with IP- and Layer 4-based load-balancing mechanisms for the balanced distribution of flows.
Operational management is carried out through an intuitive web interface featuring real-time statistics and support for SNMP alarms, facilitating the control and supervision of the device.
