END TO END – FIBER & 5G
The Industrial Research project “End to End – Fiber & 5G” (E2E-Fiber&5G), initiated by Cinetix S.r.l. on the 19th January 2021, was completed by successfully achieving all the initial objectives and obtaining the creation of new innovative solutions and systems dedicated to measuring the performance of End to End connections of fixed fiber optic networks (Broadband and Ultra-Broadband) and networks wireless in 5G technology.
The new systems, which include the SMD-G1X Series and GTQ-5G Series devices, have been adopted and installed by some important CSPs and TSPs in national telecommunications networks. The E2E-Fiber&5G Industrial Research project was financed by the Autonomous Province of Trento (APIAE Provincial Law 13 December 1999, n. 6, article 5 – Applied Research) and developed with the collaboration of the University of Trento – Department Information Engineering and Computer Science (DISI).
The DISI UniTN research group was coordinated by Prof. Fabrizio Granelli and part of the research results were published in the Journal “IEEE Networking Letters”.
